Kerouac, I have never heard of Rice flake pasta. Presume its made of rice flour like some pastas are made with corn. It looks Ok on your plate...actually everything looks alright on your plate!

Mark - How can you only eat 'part' of it? which part as you certainly can't shell it. It's definitely an all in one vegetable. I do tend to slice them horizontally when adding to salads. Oh Oh! I think I missed the joke....

Before compost time. These poor things already had to travel all the way from Zimbabwe to my kitchen, so they don't stay fresh forever. (The last ones came from Guatemala.)

It's the same as typical rice noodle pasta (white translucent) except that it comes in the form of little squares ('flakes') instead of being enlongated. They roll up when you boil them and end up looking like macaroni.
