The UK also has mutual recognition agreements signed with the US, Australia and New Zealand. Australia and NZ hope these 'agreements' are a damn sight more binding than when UK joined the Common Market and cut us out of our trade partners. Since then we have built our trade with Asia...Is UK eyeing off this market as well?

"Hear Hear " Cheery , I am totally with you. I don't know what I can post hear to accurately represent how I feel about this whole bloody unfathomable mess. Really its just devastating for our young people, for our economy, for any waning influence we had on world politics. Apparently Steven Hawkins said this “I deal with tough mathematical questions every day, but please don’t ask me to help with Brexit.”
probably fake news

Well...parliament has voted to delay Brexit....the thing is, not one idea has come from ANY member of parliament that they can all agree on. It remains to be seen whether the other European countries will agree to the delay. What a mess.

A large majority of MPs opposed Brexit, now many pretend they are for it to avoid the wrath of their constituents. BUT are doing all they can to frustrate it with the result it is one almighty mess. I christen them the 'Westminster Wankers'. It is time we had our own revolution and they will be first in line for the lampposts, closely followed by the bankers.

We felt the same in France until the Algerians started revolting against Bouteflika. It made Brexit seem so unimportant. A young population rising up at last to demand democracy is so much more interesting than an old country closing up like a tortoise.

A good friend of mine who is British recently adopted a cat from the shelter here.
She named the cat "Brexit" because she would cry and cry at the door to be let out but when my friend went to open the door to let her out she balked and balked.

I just saw on The Independent's website that the French minister for EU affairs called her cat Brexit because of its indecisiveness.
Nathalie Loiseau told Le Journal du Dimanche that her pet meows loudly to be let out each morning, but then refuses to go outside when she opens the door.

More seriously, I am wondering who is going to take the blame for everything once the dust settles. Theresa May? James Cameron? The EU? Nigel Farage? Edward Heath? Jean-Claude Juncker? Actually it seems to me that it will never be decided, which means that at least 200 books are going to be written about it. Poor trees.

Can’t imagine much of a film about Brexit. I’d blame David Cameron myself. Or is that the bloke at PSG?
