I don't think that most cacti have a reputation for speedy flowering, so you must really have a lot of them to be able to show us new flowers so regularly.

Oh, I just love them! This morning I had to turn one out of its pot so it could dry out a little bit from all the rain we've had in the last couple of days.

Actually I find that they can take anything that’s thrown at them. Cold, heat, wet. It’s all the same to them.
My grandparents and great grandparents graves are concrete topped with gravel. 20 years ago I poked Sempervivums into the gravel and left them to their own devices. Now they cover it.
Sempervivum means live for ever I think.

It does. I know this as a formerly RC person who has scraps of Latin lying around my brain. As you know, this doesn't always serve me well in teasing out the meaning of botanical names.
There are weeds and resurrection fern on the roof of my porch. I'd love to get giant colonies of sempervivums established up there, but the even those tough little things couldn't handle the dry season here.

Worth a try though isn't it? You could always give them a sprinkle if you think it too dry.

When you start to see a bud, how long do you have to wait for the bloom, Mick?

2 days at most for this one.

That's pretty fast considering the reputation of cacti. At the same time, it is true that desert plants have to move quickly when they have an unexpected opportunity. Next spring will be one of those times when Death Valley bursts into flower again.

These cacti are quite woolly at the top and the buds develop out of sight. You only see them when they are about to flower. Others you may see buds a month or more before they open

Definitely an Aloe, probably Aloe aristata or a hybrid. Might well be hardy. Worth a try with one of the offsets.
Yes, due a repot.

Fabulous show, Mick!
How wide is the Ariocarpus & how old?
The Orbea is mind-boggling. Do you get that many blooms every year?

I love that one.
Now I am wondering what your cactus empire does during the winter. Does it mostly go to sleep? You have probably told us over the last decade but I have a very limited memory.

Yes about 90% of the collection shuts down for winter but a few only grow from September to April e.g. Pelargoniums (not the garden sort).
