Same here: 25°C in the shade but with a breeze. But I don't consider this "very warm". I consider it ideal summer weather.

We have been having intermittent thunderstorms accompanied by heavy downpours.
A welcome relief from the oppressive heat of late and allowing me a reprieve from having to water the garden.
Temperatures in the high 70F's.

Very hot here -- 93F/34C. There's a little breeze, though, & it should start cooling off now.

Oh we are fffffffreeezing! Was 3C at sunrise but eventually we will hit 21C. The sun is out so I might hurry up with house chores and go and read the newspaper in a sunny spot.

36°C here yesterday - a record for May. With humidity, it was 36C here yesterday as well Lagatta, most likely a record for us too! Hope this is over with tomorrow, we are supposed to return to normal temperatures, 21C. Our air conditioning unit has broken, service will come Monday or Tuesday.

I think that with humidity, it was almost 40c here, which would be very strange where you live. I was really nauseated this morning (not something that I often experience). I was shopping at our historic Jean-Talon Market early this morning and almost felt sick (and there was nothing smelly nearby). These days I get up very early and turn in by 21h (9 p.m.)

Lots of thunder here and a very weird but beautiful light. My pink roses are touched by the late afternoon sunlight and glowing dramatically against the gray sky. It's quite breezy & should rain soon.

We don't get much humidity here but yesterday's 32° felt too hot. And since we are close to the ocean, there is always a breeze. Today's forecast is better, only 27°, although they are often wrong by a couple of degrees compared to my thermometer. Already 17° at 8 am.

Our weather has gone crazy, going to be sunny all day today. again. It is good , but very worrying at the same time because we get water shortages in this neck of the woods if it doesn't rain for a week or two. we have perhaps had 3 drops so far this month, and none forecast.

Another hot day in store for us. I'm getting tired of it already and it's not even officially summer yet. And we need rain.

Ha, after a pleasant blast of heat, it is only 7c now! It will go "up" to 15 or so. Go away, cold!!! Tod, I remember how cold it was in ZA during your World Cup. There was a large Argentine contingent and they seemed to be freezing, though they have the same seasons.

Been raining lightly since the morning and now more intensely but not yet downpour. So there is a good chance that some water actually goes into the concrete-like ground.

We have had plenty of rain in Paris over the last two days, and I am delighted. We needed it. Some streets on the Left Bank were even flooded last night but no big deal. I particularly appreciated the flashes of lightning for hours. Unfortunately, the thunder was not really impressive. I have always liked it when it scares you.

My maids are terrified of thunder. I try my best to give them a lesson in nature when we travel to their bus stops. My bottom line is that if you have seen the lightning, then heard the thunder, you are very much alive. Thunder is just the hot water banging against the cold water……be glad you can hear it.

We were told that thunder was God moving his furniture, but then came the war and we had to wonder if it was anti-aircraft fire, bombs or thunder.

We have been having downpours on and off all day.
When my children were small and scared of thunderstorms, I opened the windows wide and we counted from the sight of the lightning until the clap of thunder. I told them about the speed of sound, so every time we counted off three, the storm was a kilometre away, Six was 2 kms.

Only last week I saw advertised an instrument that detects lightning from up to 65km away. I know they have been using a similar device at schools in our area but it only detects it up to 15km away. It has sounded a siren warning three times that I have attended a swimming gala, or cricket match at my grandsons school. Everyone immediately looks up and all we see are a few clouds and maybe a darkening of the sky on the horizon. Maybe Golf Clubs need one of these instruments - It's either the golf club or umbrella shielding the golfer that conducts that streak of a million volts. Maybe those mad golfers just keep telling themselves…."Only one more hole Fred"!

We have had a couple of light showers in the past 12 hours, very welcome but not enough to do much good. Just now a fairly close crack of thunder and as i trype there's another. We were taught to count 5 seconds from flash to bang, which is a mile.
