Not so hot here today. We didn't get over 26° and now it has clouded over and strong winds are blowing from the ocean so perhaps we'll get some rain.

Right now it's 35° in Paris. I hope those thunderstorms really arrive tonight.

Blimey meltingly hot but not as hot as Paris - my thermometer read just under 33 in the shade today . We are forecast some thunderstorms and then a cooling down period . Brexit weather maybe ?

Actually, it didn't last all that long. It rumbled for a while but the rain wasn't especially heavy and everything is dry this morning. Still cloudy though and 19°.

Ridiculously hot and humid already. Just walked the dog and I'm soaked!

We have had a little shower and a few rumbles of thunder, temp now 73F say 23C, so a little cooler than yesterday. there is a fresher south easterly breeze which is good.

It's very muggy here and we are also experiencing the Saharan "Godzilla" Desert sands coming through here. There's a film of very fine dusty sand on everything. I remember this happening some years ago and had totally forgotten about it but, now that it's here again, it all comes back. This particular one is reported to be twice as intense as others in the past 25 years or so. Bizarre. I heard that the sand has high levels of potassium in it and is good for the garden.
I believe it is only supposed to last a couple of days.

16° and a clear sky here right now. I vaguely thought it was supposed to rain again during the night but apparently it didn't. Must stop looking at those weather websites. Forecast is for 23°.

Very, very muggy here. Not a faint hint of a breeze. Likely somewhere around 85F or thereabouts.
Easy weeding from all the rain of the past few days. Started very early and taking a break for a bit. Then back to it. I have a few things I need to transplant and the cloud cover will allow for it to be a good time to do it.
Likely to get a stray thunderstorm at some point later.

We have about the same temperature as you, Casi. 28° (82) but there is a breeze, a few clouds floating by and it's lovely. It doesn't get very humid here in general.

We are back to "below normal" temperatures, but I have no complaints. My flat is actually still too warm, since once the outer walls heat up, they retain heat for a long time. That's one of the reasons that I rarely have to use heat before November. I think the temperatures are going to continue to zigzag for a couple weeks.

The autumn days continue to be idyllic. Blue skies, no wind, and sunshine all day. The only time it is a bit nippy is early morning (before 9am) and late afternoon like now 4.15).

It’s been extremely windy for 2 days now and very unpleasant. No fun working outside as it’s quite exhausting.

Mick - We are in late Winter and have passed the longest night of the year. We have potatoes sprouting, carrot seed sprouting, and about 5 other veg coming along to spring planting. As you know I have raised beds. We are now planting in containers as well! Our Guru is Home Grown Veg - what a nice man!

It looks like it's cranking up to be a dark and stormy night. It should be broad daylight right now (7:20 pm), but it's more like deep dusk, plus there are some sprinkles.

Not more than five minutes after I wrote the above it started raining really hard. Now it's pouring -- coming directly from the south with lots of wind.

Raining so hard it's almost deafening, although the giant booms of thunder have stopped. Second rain today & it's a doozy.

Most people were wearing jackets in Paris today. I don't understand -- it wasn't warm but it wasn't that chilly either.

Yesterday afternoon we had a squall that eventually made its way here.. I needed some last minute items so made a mad dash out the door to the neighborhood pharmacy and café.
On my way back, the wind picked up and as I was walking on a street lined with white crape myrtle trees at their peak full of blooms, all of a sudden there were white flecks, hundreds of them swirling in the air as in a snow storm in July. It was exquisitely magical. No one else around I felt like Alice in Wonderland if only for a block. I'm hoping for a repeat of the same sometime today. I have three neighbors that are out of town for the month or at least half of it and I am taking care of their animals, plants, gardens, mail etc. so the easier my life can be with some extra water the better.

That must have been lovely, Casi. White crape myrtles are quite rare -- here they are all pink or purple. And they are just starting to bloom here.
We had a beautiful day - sunny and about 25° with some wind from the north so it didn't feel too hot.

It should be preserved if at all possible, but today was the most perfect weather of 2020. A lovely 26C, no wind, no humidity, solid sunshine all day.
