It's raining quite a bit tonight. No complaints from me -- after all we have a curfew until 06:00.

after all we have a curfew until 06:00. I'm not sure what time your curfew starts Kerouac but I think it is 6pm? So 6 to 6 is stay at home time. That seems very sensible to me. I expect it excludes workers on shift or cleaners in the streets. Here nobody cleans after 3pm and road-gangs load up and leave unfinished work for the next day. So would you believe our curfew is from 12 midnight to 4am? Even this ridiculous time does not put house breaking out of the question. Robbers have wandered into peoples property as late as 7am with bolt cutters slung over one shoulder. So what have they been doing from midnight......? Waiting for 4am? I don't think so. So much for Covid restrictions.

When we went to summer time, they moved the curfew to 19:00.
Lots of things continue after 19:00 because plenty of people work. The buses and metro continue to operate. And when I look out of my window, the streets are full of Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat bikers with their thermos packs.

A sunny day, 24C, the last of the ice is melting and disappearing into the lake. It will probably be all gone by tomorrow morning.

Confusing spring day. Sunny with blue skies one minute, cloudy and snow flurries the next.
I’m watching a college football game on TV that’s being played only 10 miles away, and it can be sunny here and a blizzard there at the same time!

It finally started raining here around 3 or 4 in the morning, not heavily, so my garden is pleased. Of course the temperature is not as high as yesterday when it was 22°.

Today the high is 96F/35.5C ~ baking hot. I can't drink enough water and am afraid to smile in case my face & lips crack.

Adelaide's isobar map yesterday looked like a drawing done by a kindergarten of kids who had drunk too much red cordial, and it turned out the weather to match. Morning was cold then the north wind hit and the temp climbed a bit. Then that system crashed into another low and we were enveloped in red and yellow dust which dropped visibility as the north and west gales danced a tango and branches fell one way then back again. Every hour or so there was a sprinkle of rain, it was about 22C until after sunset the wind eased and the temp rose to 26 and a bit more rain fell. All day everything was seen through the weird yellow light. So far today...cold, overcast, expect rain...

It rained hard here last night, so it's quite pleasant in the house*. It's 25C right now, but supposed to get up to 34 today.
*These concrete houses tend to stay cool, as at this altitude most nights are dramatically cooler than the day.

38 degrees and cloudy/breezy for my first in-person meeting since pandemic began. It’s an outdoor meeting and everyone is 5-10 years older than me so atvhigher risk.
But I hope if we are all vaccinated the hostess may move us inside. There’s only 6 or 7 of us.

A cloudy day with rain in the forcast, it is about 15C. The ice has all melted off the lake, it was mostly gone on Saturday and when we woke up on Sunday morning we could not see any left. Yeah!

We are in our second week of below normal temperatures. It will take another 3 or 4 days to crawl out of that situation.

Perfect working weather in Wisconsin as we clear out the family cabin, making piles for the auctioneer, piles for donation and making good progress on filing a 20-yard dumpster that was delivered on a truck Friday. Also making piles of treasures to take home with us, of course. Nice sunny weather for some final photos of the place we’ve known since I was 10 and my sister was 8.

After 6 straight days of rainstorms finally the sun has emerged. Dying to get out and walk and more importantly do some garden chores. I'm sure that many of my lovelies have rotted but, at least it will be easy weeding. Our rainfall totals are 4 times the norm. Temperatures will remain in the 70F's,

Kimby, this cannot be an easy time as past memories tug at your heartstrings. Just be grateful for them. Many people have absolutely nothing to look back on. Seems you are all doing great in the move.
