We had all kinds of weather while at the family cabin for the last time. The first day was warm and sunny while we did our minii-memorial with Ricky’s ashes. The 2nd day when we started clearing out outbuildings had big puffy clouds but dry and a bit cooler. It rained the third night. And yesterday, when we moved to indoor tasks like boxing up books, it got lots colder and even snowed a bit. We lit a fire in the wood stove and carried on.

Suuny, touch of a nip in the air. No humidity which is wonderful! Mark, that rhym must mean something far deeper. Like a hangover?

It's a fairly modern nursery rhyme and one I knew as a kid. Don't know where it came from or the meaning. Probably has a meaning but no idea what.

A chilly misty breeze blowing this morning. Not overly pleasant.

Not quite 1 pm and it's sunny and 17°, light breeze. I ended up watering my garden last night because it has been so dry.

You've had 17° and light breeze. Here it has been 34°+ and windy, so I've had to really keep on top of watering. Even the succulents are suffering.

No rain here for some time and we are still having night frosts. That’s very late.

We are just coming off a full week of unseasonable sun and over 20C/70F warmth. It was nice while it lasted but I'm fine with the forecast of a return to cool and rainy weather more appropriate to this place and time of year.

22° forecast for this afternoon, so it will probably be a bit warmer. Right now (8am) it's 11°C. It is supposed to be a bit cooler and rainier in April.

It is 90/33 outside right now -- outside where I have been moving pots around, sweeping the patio, etc. The weather app helpfully says that it "feels like" 88/31. Gee. It's supposed to get up to 96/36 today. The humidity is 15% -- it's just baking out there.

That's frustrating. From your lovely flower pictures, I thought it was Spring there.
I was standing out in the heat and sun contemplating a shade cloth over the patio. It's really too hot and glary to want to sit out there the way it is now.

It is spring. Just bloody cold spring and because it is cold spring flowers like daffodils are hanging on much longer. It is also extremely dry with barely a drop all month.

Back to chilly wet normal here. In spite of the fact that we did just have a nice, sunny, warm week my flowers are still running at least a month late due to our unseasonably cold late winter and spring. I've got forsythia still blooming that should have been done weeks ago.

We finally got some rain so it's still only 15°, not much more than it was during the night. It probably won't get much warmer and there are showers predicted during the week. We really needed the rain. Lots of flowers blooming but the lawn looks like it does in mid-summer. Haven't had to cut the grass at all.

13° and it just started to rain again after a short pause. A nice gentle rain that my garden appreciates. I can see the brown parts of the "lawn" turning green after 24 hours of rain.
