Congratulations, tillystar. Yes, a bit of envy bubbling around the edges here and there. (Off to France for the weekend. Huh.)
I have a day off to rush around and do chores, since I'm working the weekend. Possible first frost tomorrow. I really intended to sit down for just one minute and look up a telephone number, but I accidentally typed "anyp...." in the url area. So ta and back to work.
Have fun, tilly, and I hope there's some sun to soak in.

Nothing as exciting as last weekend. I was sent home from work yesterday as have horrid chesty cough. I am well enough to work but everyone was just looking at me nervously like a swine flu plague victim. So working in my pyjamas and drinking lots of tea. I think this is how the weekend will be looking overall.

Am hoping to go visit a really cool garden on the Westbank in Algiers Point which is an old,old section of the city . The plan is to put the bicycles on the bus and ride downtown to the Algiers Ferry and ride across the river and then ride to see this permaculture garden I've been hearing about. Hope to have a report for the garden section. Sunday is another wedding anniversary(24) and hope to just have a lovely day together, maybe dine out. The weather promises to be gorgeous.

This week seemed to go by very quickly for me. The weekend holds a bunch of activities none of which I've decided yet other then a pot luck supper at a dear friend and neighbor's house. Much will depend on the weather and how much I get done today.

I just spent 160€ at the hypermarket and another 75€ in the bookstore section of Virgin Megastore, so I think it is not such a good idea to have taken Friday off. I never thought that Robert Crumb would get me to buy part of the bible.

I saw a few pages of that excerpted in New Yorker. Very nicely done. I like that Crumb's playing it straight.

I think so. You'd hope he has a few bucks salted away.

Yes, he still lives in France. Therefore I made a point of buying the French version.

I'm laying low, after a series of unfortunate Fri 13th events in the past few years. Otherwise this is my day off after 4 days on and 6 to come. I'm going to start on a portrait of two adorable little girls.

This year was rich in Friday 13th -- three of them in all.
It is considered a lucky day in France. There is always a Super Lotto on Friday the 13th. Tonight, I'm gonna win it.

Big rain coming tonight. The Po Boy Fest is Sunday with 40 vendors of different po boy's being served up. Will probably be a zoo. Right in my own back yard.
