A movie from the 90’s, which ends as a drama and with a lot of moments that make the audience rejoice. People kind of fly in the last scene and it won an Oscar. 6. American film?

6. Totally American film. Forget about people flying in the last scene, but I will give you a great clue about that -- the last scene is a freeze frame.

2. Yes, although I would not describe this director's activity as prolific.
3. Maybe more of a drama, however there are some comedic moments.

7. Does the story take place on the West Coast?

7. Good question. And I am not sure. My memory tells me it was a vague America city, which may or may not have been on the west coast, and looking it up didn't reveal a concrete answer. Can we pass on this question?

So, just to recap:
It has mature moments, the star is still acting/working, it's not an action movie, probably a male lead, an Oscar was involved, made in the 1990's, the director is still making movies, more a drama but with some comedy in it, it's American.
11. Is it a sad movie? A tear jerker?
