I'm sorry to have to point this out, but people like Marine Le Pen in France would be considered dangerous leftists compared to Trump and people of his ilk. They would agree on things like the death penalty, though.

Enslavement of women and girls is certainly common to Islamic State and the Trump Christianist régime.

Exactly. Christian Sharia Rule. Mike Pence is DJT’s insurance policy. He is so repellant to liberals that we have no choice but to favor Trump over the alternative. Election Day is our only hope. I only hope the election process isn’t so corrupted as to put the outcome in question.

I predict a total cluster fuck on November 3rd and the days perhaps weeks afterward no matter who wins.

That’s why we need to get every voter who isn’t for Trump to vote, no matter how long the lines or how far ahead Biden is in the polls.
It must be a decisive victory to prevent armed revolt by Trump’s base. American Democracy is skating on very thin ice this year.

Interesting lesson of management and negotiation by Trump : I quit the deal with Iran. I impose alone the sanctions of the deal i left, just do that I show who is the boss. Pathetic.

Not that Iran is such a great place under the current theocracy and other corrupt officials, but I really wish the EU would get its act together and refuse to lie down and get walked over every time Trump and Pompeo shoot their mouths off. The US pulled out of the agreement so they have nothing to say about it.

Recent studies and surveys show a great rise in secularism among the Iranian population, especially the highly-educated young.

From USA Today: USA Today pollIt is actually pretty much the same in France. Rural and small town people are convinced that the cities are violent, dangerous and radical. I blame the media for this, because nearly all of the visuals for the world going to shit come from the cities, where the media are located and where they can record all of the images just by stepping out of the door.

Yeah, apparently he and his wife were booed during the "minute of silence" that he was at RBG's coffin.

The United States has been engulfed by mob mentality on both sides of the political spectrum, and this is another example of it. I would react to such a visit with stony silence.

In general I would agree with you, but in the case of Trump and his crowd scenes of those yelling "lock her up", a crowd shouting "vote him out" is fair payback.

Trump hates to booed. Normally he only goes to places full of his supporters, so he can live in his reality that everybody loves him. Then once in a while he goes to the real world and faces hostility, indignation, mockery... Poor man.

Can you imagine a situation like in Belgium happening in USA? The whole concept of Democracy is at risk now with the Dictator hinting he won't step down if he loses but declare the election null and void on the grounds of his distrust of postal voting.
While the chaos is distracting the nation and everyone is caught in the arguments (remember the 'chads?') China is running more ships to its new "islands" in the Pacific, and North Korea is just being North Korea with no restraints.
Surely it is time for the silent majority to bring some common sense to the discussion.

I have zero problem with people booing that P.O.S. or his South American equivalent (Brazil will hit 150,000 dead very soon). There was no violence.
There were other anti-Trump violent incidents (though most were crimes against property), but this had nothing to do with them.
We had a real doozy here though. A woman, apparently unhinged (though she had lived a quiet life and had a normal job) sent the Donald a letter laced with ricin. As everyone should know, there is about .000000000000 possibility of Trump ever encountering the toxic missive, and if it killed anybody, it would be the ordinary worker charged with sorting and opening his mail, and in DC this would have most likely been a Black woman. Perhaps police forces (FBI, Secret Service etc) might have faced some danger if proper precautions were not taken. Trump or Trumplings, zero.

Everyone should realize this: If there WAS a way to “rig” a mailed-in election, Trump would be DOING it, not complaining about it...

What I think is wonderful is learning that in several states (or maybe all of them?), according to the constitution the members of the Electoral College of the state can decide to ignore the popular vote and cast their electoral votes for the candidate of their choice.

They should just abolish that electoral college. I understand it was originally put in as a safeguard in case the popular voters make silly choices but surely it's time to amend that sacrosant constitution to adapt to the 21st century.

Except that Trump is urging states with Republican legislatures to ignore the popular vote if it’s for Biden and send hand-picked electors who will vote for Trump.
