Consider yourself told, Voy. Now write out 100 times 'I must not ask questions about this site in future and expect reasonable replies unless I am kissing arses."

That's a cooked lobster, you murderer.

That is not a cooked lobster. That is a perfectly lively lobster that made the mistake of staying out in the sun too long. We see British tourists round here that look like that.

Voy, it's just a matter of expanding one's horizons. But people can stay on just one branch if they want to.

Voy,again welcome. I have to ask,Are you always this grumpy? Many of us have worked very hard to have a place to come to and enjoy. I would hate to know that all that was in vain. I enjoyed your post about your old cutlery. I too have some "special" items from grandparents.

Yes, some have worked hard, and have done a good job here. But one element that doesn't work well for those involved is the ability to take criticism and not be knee jerk and overly and antagonistically sensitive about opinions that aren't don't conform with their view point. Which is a shame.

Voy is wonderfully sweet and never grumpy.
Voy shall we ask Kerouac or Bixa to install the lobstah I found for you as your avatar? I don't think I can do this as I have no 'controls'?

I think you can do it without an admin's interference assistance. Right click the picture in spinnie's post. click Properties. Copy the URL for the image. Go to your profile. Click Modify profile. Enter the appropriate password. Then paste the URL for the picture into the avatar box. You may need to resize it, but that should do it.
(If I remember Kerouac's instructions correctly...)

Exactly. If you do it yourself, you will not feel violated.

She won't have to resize it. It's already avatar size - 100x100.

Spindrift ~~ neither Kerouac nor I go into people's Profiles. Period.
Voy ~~ Go to Port Authority at the top of the main page. Everything you need to know is covered there.
Gyro ~~ as far as I am aware you were not dragged nor kept here against your will.

Did you know certain species of crab have the ability to completely reverse their breathing depending on if they are in or out of the water ?
One minute, they're breathing from the front; next they're breathing out their arse !
Clever, eh ?

Post by Deleted on Apr 1, 2009 5:30:07 GMT
I thought crabs always went sideways.

BREATHING, K, breathing. Walking is something completely different, although I appreciate you find it difficult to do two things at the same time.

that's interesting about how crabs breathe.

"One minute, they're breathing from the front; next they're breathing out their arse !"
That's nothing, Gyro. As well you know, Gordon Brown can do that with his voice too.
