What a great pic Imec!! You look like you had really really good seats to get such a good picture. Wow! Wrigley Field, have never been. I have only been to 3 or 4 baseball parks,Fenway, the old Yankee Stadium ,Shea Stadium ,and Busch Stadium. Wrigley is right up there on my wish list. I confess,I too, have not been following as closely this season as in previous seasons. Too much other stuff going on. I'm sure I'll perk up and start paying closer attention in the upcoming weeks as it gets closer to the playoffs etc. God,it's such a bloody long season!!!!

GO GIANTS!!!!!
As an avid fan of both baseball and Herge's Tintin books I am delighted to see so many Captain Haddock lookalikes in the Giants bullpen!

I am glad that the Giants won,I really am.I have a slew of friends in SF that I was thrilled for. But,I really would have liked to see it go further, and wish that the Rangers had played better. It was just too easy it seemed. I only watched the last few innings of the last game. As long as it wasn't the Yankees,I am content.

Almost time for the regular season! I'm a huge Braves fan...have been since I was about 6 or 7. The wife and I went over to Disney on Saturday to check out a Spring Training game against the Mets. We had a blast...took some pics, but haven't hosted them anywhere. <---Usual excuse

It was worth watching the game last night to glimpse the pout on GWB's face. The camera never focused on him or Laura, but they were sitting front row with Nolan Ryan.
That plus the Cardinals -- Texas Rangers 16 to 7 whupping.

It's called the "World Series." Now it's Cardinals 2, TX Rangers 1 in the best of seven series. The first two games in St. Louis were chilly and damp. They're inflating an enormous screen on Art Hill to project tonight's game in Texas. It's turned mild and pleasant here, so should be fun outside.. slam.org/Worldseries/

I spent more time in Busch Stadium than any other baseball stadium. What a series!!! Belated Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, Casimira. The playoffs and the Series were a fun time to be in St. Louis. It's such a baseball town. Too bad you were taking a break during that time, cause we could have discussed the heck out of it.
We took the Metrolink down to the stadium during the epic 6th game that we were mostly afraid would be the last, hung around where we could see a sliver of the infield in the new stadium and soak up some of the energy. The crowd was actually a little subdued until they walked us to tie the game at 4 each. We headed home in the 7th inning, could not believe the outcome.
I'd call K's response that of someone who has been too baseball deprived for too long. Stuck as he is in a baseball backwater like Paris, his lack of enthusiasm is perhaps understandable.

Okay, so we feel kinda bad for the Braves. Probably that infield fly call was wacky. But! You wouldn't find Cardinals fans throwing a tantrum like that.

*ahem* If you want to root for the Nationals, Casimira, you'll have to wait until next year.
People were whooping and cheering all around my neighborhood last night, a fun sound to hear through open windows at 2330. Nothing cheers this town up like a playoff series win, unless it's a World Series win.
My husband walked up to the local sports bar to watch the last several innings, since the game was only on the fanciest of cable channels, and said it was a blast.
I followed it partly on the Guardian UK website, where they have live commentary by fans and staff.

DARN!!!! "My" Red Sox are sitting oh so pretty in the AL Division...And the Cardinals are tied up if not in front in the National League division. BoSox have won the last two games against the NY Yankees, which is all I care about. Again, where are you Lola??? Or anybody who may be following this end of the season, about to be "wild card" playoff race??
