Miserable, dank, cold, wet and windy. A warming trend towards the next few days. Snuggling with my cat under the covers.

When the SKY weather comes on and they show us the different countries around the world, I always watch for Mexico City because I know that is the closest weather temp to you Bixa! They don't show Paris either so I look out for London and think of you Kerouac.

Tod, we have nicer weather than Mexico City all the time.

We are supposed to be in a warming trend here but I sure don't feel it. Grey and dank. The wind does seem to have died down but I need some sunshine in my life right now. I'm so stir crazy and tired of being deprived of working in the garden.

I thought you had a greenhouse to piddle around in Mick. I did away with mine several years ago as I really didn't use it all that much and I wanted the space for some plantings. Our climate here is not quite so demanding of the need for one.

Another warm day but not as bad as when no cloud cover. The Solar guys are here bright and early and I can hear stuff being shifted around in the ceiling under the tiled roof. I will be inside most of the day.

The sun finally came out yesterday and I was finally able to get outside and take it in after being confined indoors for days. While it was still chilly those sun rays brightened my mood. Today, a repeat with even warmer temperatures (60F's). In a couple of hours I'll get myself in gear and get back out there. Maybe even take a bike ride through Audubon Park.

Casimira you are cooped up because of the cold - and here we are cooped up because of the heat. At least twice a year we get some lovely mild enjoyable weather.

Yes, we experience the same extremes Tod. Our summers are brutally hot like yours. The glorious Autumn and Spring weather are too short lived. At least you don't have a lengthy hurricane season there to stress out over.

Rained all day yesterday. Rained all night. Rained all day today. Temperature now has dropped to about 2c.

At least you don't have a lengthy hurricane season there to stress out over. Yes thats true - its not lengthy but we have had some terrible ones in the last 10 years. They blow into Mozambique and the result is huge flooding right across into Kruger National Park and the upper end of the St.Lucia Estuary in Kwa-Zulu Natal. We have sometimes had the edges of these hurricanes. We are on guard from November to February.

I did not realize that Tod. (I keep saying that I am going to sign up for a Meteorology 101 online tutorial but haven't done it yet). The science fascinates me.
Another sunny day here with temperatures around 60F. A far cry from last weeks dreadful weather.

I imagine that it looks quite magical to see snow in the streets of Paris. I always loved seeing the streets of NYC blanketed under a layer of fresh snow. Then, in just a few days after it turns gray and then black.
We are having another sunny day here and I am looking forward to a variety of outdoor activities both here in my garden and a couple of visits with some friends at some point later in the afternoon.

The snow only lasted 4 hours before turning into rain and disappearing without a trace. And that is exactly what the meteorological experts had predicted.
I still saw two snowmen in the parks, which took a lot of determination at create, because there was not enough snow to roll a snowball around to make it bigger. Papa had to collect snow in small handsful and build it up little by little into the proper form. But can any papa worth his name refuse to build a snowman when his children want one?
