Today was "April" weather in Paris -- about 15°. I don't even know if it was true because I did not set foot outside. That is happening much too often, but it has been quite rainy and frankly there is not much to do outside in the current situation. I bought groceries on the previous two days, so I couldn't even think of an excuse to go to the store.

We are in Bayonne for a few days. Had some errands to do over the next days. It was beautiful and warm today --17C° and sunny. But showers are predicted over the next days.

We are having another named big storm at the moment. Justine is blowing hard -- 115 km/hour winds blowing, rain and very big waves (up to 10 metres) on the coast.

Good grief! What is that rain & wind doing to your garden (& your roof, forthat matter)?

I don't know. We have been in Bayonne since Thursday, so I hope there won't be any horrible surprises when we go back on Tuesday. Here we are in a 7th floor apartment and the wind has been howling since last night.

Our weather took a rude turn. We had gorgeous sunny warm days 70F on Sunday and then overnight it plummeted to the 30Fs with gusty winds and bone chilling blasts. Meanwhile, the NE got blasted with a major blizzard that blanketed NYC with 16 inches of snow. I spoke with my brother in NY and he said that it was the most snow they have seen in several years. I would love to see that for just one day. So so magical to see Central Park covered with a blanket of fresh snow.

More and more rain just about everywhere in France. The water table is now full in the entire country. No more, please.

The photographer said he took a burst of about 50 photos and he spotted Justine (some people say it is Poseidon) while he was verifying them on his computer.

Certainly is a fantastic photo! Just as Paris is watching the receding waters of the Seine, Kruger National Park has had the same flooding from Hurricane Eloise. Some visitors were stuck in their camps and could not leave.

Cold and cloudy with the odd snowflake.
Not as bad as Yellowknife. -53 with windchill.

It’s storming here and has been for most of the night.

That's interesting - htmb, I know of raining, snowing, shining, hailing, flooding etc etc, but storming? I must have missed that usage.

It’s bleedin snowing like a goodun here now, must have had a good inch or so since 7.
Reminds me of the clip from some American TV where the pretty lady announcer asks the weatherman, “What happened to that 8 inches you promised me last night”

Oh that is priceless Mossie!! While you're watching the falling snow from a window, I've just got home in blazing hot sun. It was lovely walking into the house and being met by a blast of chilled air. (Today I remembered to switch on the aircon before I left.)

That's interesting - htmb, I know of raining, snowing, shining, hailing, flooding etc etc, but storming? I must have missed that usage. I was half-asleep, and wishing to be sound asleep! We had lightening, thunder, wind, heavy rain and tornado watches for most of the night. Seems like the beginning of our “springtime” storms, the kind that makes one wonder if a tree is going to come crashing through the roof.

Very cold here. Jeff keeps telling me that according to the local newspaper we are going to have 29 hours of snow..seems quite an odd forecast..

It's raining here again. It seems to have rained every day for over a week or even longer. Went for a walk yesterday and the lake level is rising again, the ground is totally saturated. At the moment it's 7° so at least it's not snow.

It was sleeting all day yesterday in London. This morning there's a light dusting of snow everywhere, but it rarely settles or lasts for long with all the residual heat in the buildings. Mind you, the clouds look low and heavy, so who knows? My blog | My photos | My video clips | My Librivox recordings"too literate to be spam"

It snowed all day yesterday and we have 3 inches or so. Temp now 28F and not likely to go above 32 all day. No milk or papers delivered yet, just hope the milkman makes it although I can force tea without down in emergency. I ain't going anywhere.

Mossie you obviously don't care for Longlife milk or tea/coffee creamer in powder form? Our benefactor from the Isle of Wight used to only use condensed milk in his tea as it was so handy to keep in the fridge - to avoid flies but it would not go off on a shelf.

I saw a tiny bit of sleet in Paris yesterday, perhaps one distressed snowflake for every 200 drops of rain. Today there is a much greater chance of snow with the temperature remaining around 0° all day.
