Here I am again to tell you about another historical series. This one is essentially fiction in that there is he-thinks / he-said where we can't know the real truth of that, even though it is about a real person, Thomas Cromwell. No matter. Wolf Hall is also the book that showed me what a brilliant, comet-like, once in a lifetime writer Hilary Mantel was. The three books in the series are available right now in kindle editions for $9.99 (Wolf Hall) and $2.99 (Bring Up the Bodies) and $2.99 (The Mirror and the Light). ~ or ~ You can buy one volume with all three books for $12.98. Apologies, as I know of no special deals on audio versions of these books. But since I found this video, I'll share it. Narrated by Simon Slater ~

Isn't it something?! I just heard "Alone Again, Naturally" in the soundtrack of a tv show. It was on charts all over the world in 1972.
I guess the older you get, the more you remember. Well, not stuff like algebra, obviously, but important stuff like Top 40 songs.

That is what Sanibel is famous for! It was glorious here today -- sunshine, blue skies, light breeze, and cool but pleasant. I got laundry done and almost dry before the skies darkened ominously. At five o'clock the dogs & I went out for a walk. At the end of our block there was a group of adults playing hopscotch in the drizzle. Everyone was getting applauded and cheered on by the others.

Oh, dearest Mich -- that must have been so hard for you to write and essentially re-live. What a beautiful family you have and what a shining star of the family your sister must have been. Thank you for telling us.

It accepted "exode" the other day. To me, that was just a bunch of letters I threw down out of desperation. Turns out that it's a word, albeit an archaic one. en.wiktionary.org/wiki/exodeIn the link above there is a French term that is going begging. You could be a force for good & define it for Wiktionary.

The same friend who obligingly named the Beaver Moon in November posted this today:
The last full moon of the year will be seen on Boxing Day -- December 26. This full moon is also referred to as the full Cold Moon. The moon will be at its brightest at 7.33 pm (ET) on December 26. This will also be the longest full moon of the year. The year 2023 had 13 full moons in total. Among these lunar events, one of the high points was the occurrence of a blue moon on August 30.
