Cheeseburger and fries at Emilio's Grill, Plaza La Huerta, Morelia. A bottled Fresca to drink. Emilio's Grill is one of my favorite casual lunch spots in Morelia.

visited my brother, he baked pancakes with raisins inside, and we had a choice of apple sauce, maple syrup and peanut butter to put on them. i tried all three, maple syrup is still best though ...

The absolute best to put on pancakes is a good jam topped with plain yogurt.

I'm sick with a cold. The easiest lunch was to reheat the noodles and chicken, adding lots of Red Hot Oil.

Hope you are feeling much better Don - red hot oil would have done the trick! Yesterday's lunch while out and about. 8 big prawns in ginger/chili sauce with egg fried rice and a salad. Cost R140-00 (about 10 euros) - a very expensive lunch! imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640x480q90/924/RMWmPQ.jpg

On the Barbi today will be these nice big prawns. It took me a good half hour to slit them open behind the head with a scissors and remove the black vein. As I cleaned them it reminded me of my lunch ordeal in Beziers. imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640x480q90/922/Av1aId.jpg

And to think that I was going to have Polish Sausage, boiled potatoes and red cabbage for lunch. (It was very good.)

My husband made Gumbo Z'Herbes yesterday and while it was tasty enough it will be even moreso today. I must go out soon on my bicycle and grab a fresh baguette. I have 2 nice heirloom tomatoes that together with some arugula (roquette) will make for a nice salad

I went to La Biznaga & had mahi-mahi in a slightly piquant annatto* sauce with poblano chiles, tomatoes, and shitake mushrooms -- very nice indeed, especially with their good bread and an ice-cold Corona. * annatto = Bixa orellana!

mmm, that sounds good - as does Casimira's meal. We probably won't have any good field tomatoes before July... (our field tomatoes, including the heirloom varieties, are very good).
