Why do we need to be informed on a near daily basis of the health issues of these guys ?

Some part of the gossip media will find a market for anything. Of course Palace officials are updating funeral plans. They'd do it anyway, so as to have a contingency plan in reserve, and while those who took part in the last one can feed back any comments and suggestions - not to mention giving the principal a say at their (relative) leisure. It says nothing about the state of his health and treatment. My blog | My photos | My video clips | My Librivox recordings"too literate to be spam"

Well Charlie is going to go back to public duties. His first engagement is a visit to a cancer hospital.
The media mistakenly thinks that we are all gagging to know everything about the royal family. Whilst there is a certain amount of nostalgic affection and a vague curiosity about them (because they are 'celebrities'). Their appeal is linked to tradition and pageantry rather than rabid servility. Of course there are still a few bonkers royaists about..but they generally only turn out for royal weddings, funerals and parades.

Marginally connected to this thread ~~
Yesterday I saw this online somewhere:
A person related that he'd received a text from his roommate to please "tidy up" as the roommate would be bringing a date home.
In response to the request, the poster said: "I created a shrine to Princess Diana in his room."
